There are many different methodologies that can be used to execute performance improvement initiatives, from Six Sigma's process improvement phases (define, measure, analyze, improve, and control) to Lean Manufacturing principles (creating continuous flow, reducing batch sizes and inventories, eliminating waste, selective use of automation, etc.)
